About Brad Klok
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC# 17294) based in British Columbia, with a diverse background that spans farming, construction, landscaping, education, and counselling. With a Bachelor of Arts in English and Education, and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology, I bring both life experience and academic knowledge to my work. In addition to my private practice, I currently serve as a School Counsellor, where I support students in navigating academic and personal challenges.
In my practice, I take a client-centered approach, drawing from a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I work with individuals facing issues such as anxiety, depression, addiction, grief, and lack of motivation, as well as offering guidance in career development, life purpose, and personal growth.
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family—my wonderful wife, our two children, and our dog. I also love reading, watching movies, staying active through exercise, and continually educating myself on a wide range of topics to better serve my clients.

Seeking counselling can be a gentle way to support yourself when life feels overwhelming, uncertain, or difficult. It’s a safe, compassionate space where you can talk through your thoughts and feelings without judgment. You might consider counselling if you're facing a tough life change, like the end of a relationship, a loss, or stress at work. It’s also helpful if you’re feeling anxious, low, or struggling to cope with past experiences.
Counselling isn’t just for when things feel "wrong"—it’s also a wonderful way to understand yourself better, build emotional resilience, and find healthier ways to navigate life’s challenges. Whether you’re looking to improve your mental well-being, strengthen relationships, or simply feel more balanced, counselling can be a supportive step toward positive change and growth.

In a counselling session, you can expect a warm, supportive space where you’ll feel truly heard and understood. Your therapist will help you feel comfortable and at ease, guiding the conversation in a way that respects your pace and your needs. At the start, you’ll talk about what brought you to counselling and what you’d like to focus on, but there’s no rush to dive into everything all at once. The session will be about exploring your thoughts and feelings in a safe, compassionate way.
Throughout the process, your therapist won’t judge or give you all the answers. Instead, they’ll offer insights, gentle guidance, and tools to help you better understand yourself, heal, and find ways to navigate life’s challenges. Everything you share is confidential, so you can be open and honest. Counselling is a journey you take together, and it’s all about supporting you as you work toward feeling more balanced, confident, and at peace with yourself.
